Choose the right cut

Die-cut or kiss-cut?

The difference is simple. One creates an individual finished shape; the other keeps the backing sheet intact for easy peeling and organised sticker sets.

01 / DIE-CUT

A finished shape, cut right through

The cut follows the outside contour and goes through the material, or through both the printed face and backing of a sticker.

  • Custom-shaped signs and display pieces
  • Individual logo stickers and decals
  • Letters, panels and promotional graphics

02 / KISS-CUT

Easy-peel graphics on a backing sheet

The printed layer is cut to shape while the backing remains intact. This makes detailed stickers easier to handle, store and apply.

  • Sticker sheets and product labels
  • Window, wall and promotional decals
  • Fine contours and easy-peel layouts

Not sure which one you need? You don’t need to know the technical answer. Tell us how the finished piece will be used and we’ll advise the practical option.

Select by application

The right material matters as much as the cut.

Tell us the surface, location and expected lifespan. We’ll recommend a practical material and finish rather than asking you to choose from a technical list.

Rigid sign panels

ACM and other suitable boards for shaped signage, display components and branded panels.

Sticker and label stocks

Selected around the surface, handling, moisture and whether the graphic needs to be permanent or removable.

Indoor and outdoor use

We factor in exposure, fixing method and application conditions before confirming the specification.

Common questions

If you are unsure about the technical details, send us the intended use. We can work through the specification with you.

What is the difference between die-cut and kiss-cut?

Die-cutting creates an individual finished shape by cutting right through. Kiss-cutting cuts the printed layer but keeps the backing sheet intact for easy peeling.

What artwork files should I send?

A vector PDF, AI or EPS file is preferred when available. If you only have a logo, image or rough concept, send it through and we’ll check what is usable.

Can you prepare the cut line?

Yes. Our artwork team can check or create a production-ready cut path. Any design or file-preparation cost will be confirmed before work starts.

Is there a minimum quantity?

Minimums depend on the material, print method and setup. Tell us the quantity you need and we’ll quote the most practical production format.

Which option is suitable outdoors?

That depends on the surface, exposure and expected lifespan. Tell us where it will be installed so we can recommend suitable stock and finishing.

How long will the job take?

Turnaround varies with artwork, material, quantity and finishing. Include any fixed launch or event date in your enquiry and we’ll confirm timing before production.

Can I collect in Auckland?

Yes. Auckland collection is available, and delivery can be arranged for addresses across New Zealand.

What information helps with quoting?

Size, quantity, application, surface, indoor or outdoor use, required date and your available artwork are the most useful details.

Start with the brief

Tell us what you need cut.

You do not need a finished specification. Give us the essentials and our Auckland team will recommend the next step.

  • Finished size and quantity
