A label should suit where it will be applied. Consider whether the surface is flat or curved, smooth or textured, and whether the label will be used indoors, around moisture or in a high-contact environment.
Paper labels are a clean, economical choice for many dry indoor applications. Synthetic options can be considered when greater resistance to moisture or handling is needed. White materials create a reliable base for strong colour, while clear materials can give packaging a minimal “printed-on” appearance.
Matt finishes feel soft and understated; gloss can make colour appear brighter. If the label will be used on an unusual surface or in demanding conditions, contact us before production so the application can be reviewed.

Custom label FAQs
What is the difference between a label and a sticker?
The words are often used interchangeably. “Product label” commonly describes information or branding applied to packaging, while “sticker” is frequently used for promotional, decorative or general-purpose pieces. The best material and adhesive still depend on the surface and intended use.
What artwork file should I provide?
A print-ready vector file or high-resolution PDF is generally preferred so text, logos and cut lines remain sharp. Include the correct finished size and bleed where required. If you are unsure, send the file to our team for review.
Which label material is best for my product?
It depends on the container, storage conditions and handling. Paper can suit dry indoor packaging, while a synthetic option may be more appropriate around moisture or frequent contact. Tell us what the label is being applied to and how it will be used.
Can I order custom shapes and sizes?
Available shapes and dimensions can be selected in the calculator. If your required option is not listed, send us the measurements and artwork so we can review a custom specification.
Do you supply custom labels outside Auckland?
Yes. Our production team is based in Penrose, Auckland, and we supply customers throughout New Zealand. Enter the appropriate delivery details during ordering or contact us if the destination needs to be discussed first.
